I see the news that mexico is a pretty bad place (i am currently 14) and i want to live there when i grow up probably for many reasons >. Is mexico a bad place to live in as of now....or is it a bad place? what do you think will happen in the future (as in 10 years from now)
sorry i mean to say: Is mexico a bad place to live in as of now or is a good place?
I was born here i just want to live in mexico >.

Chosen Answer:

Mexico is a big place, so there are actually a lot of places for living at: some are dangerous, some are nice

The news are always focused only on the bad things, so don’t think of them as the most accurate source of information

Certainly things have turned quite ugly at places that some years ago were nice: there’s a war going on there after all. But it won’t least forever (hopefully) and it hasn’t spread the same for all the country: borders are the hot-spots actually

One way or another, just check out the city you’re gonna be moving before moving to it

Now, how is living at Mexico like?

Well, they got lots of food for sure (literally mountains of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish) at least at the cities. Their public transports are cheap and effective enough but their stops follow no schedule. Hi-tech products might be a bit more expensive. They are not bold racists (at least at most of the country).

Some illegal activities such as fireworks and piracy dealing are somewhat tolerated by society and even police. Corruption is a famous topic around functionaries and authorities (or maybe that’s just part of the ongoing war?), and mexican folk frequently blames government for the lots of paperwork needed for some stuff (public medical attention is one of them). Soccer is the most popular sport

Houses are always hot? In that case I think mexicans would think U.S. houses are always cold. Different climate, different temperatures. Not so well constructed? Well, Mexico is in the midst of a seismic zone. Some serious earthquakes are happening all the time, and since no big catastrophe has happened since the 1985 ones, I actually think their buildings are pretty well done (earthquakes are still going on, specially this last year): sometimes you must sacrifice fanciness for the sake of endurance

In 10 years… I got not idea: they might start a civil war, they might ‘came an emergent power…

I don’t know
